Although you will likely be out and about and enjoying the fresh air on your caravan and motorhome holidays, there are times when a television is really useful. Keeping the kids occupied while you cook breakfast, or those rainy evenings we can be so blessed with in Britain.
The thing is, not just any old telly will do. You will need to look into something a bit more specific. Of course, flat screen televisions are perfect for caravans, as they take up minimal space and can be wall mounted, but there is another issue, which is power usage. A standard television does in fact use a fair amount of power, while a television designed for mobile use will likely be a 12v model, typically using around 40% less power and thus saving your battery. Many now come with integral satellite or Freeview, and they can also come with a built in DVD player to avoid powering multiple devices.
Remember, your TV License will cover you if your TV at home (although you will need to make a declaration) is not in use at the same time, if however it, you will need to look at a separate one - check their website if you need any further info.
